Luffas and Chickens and Gourds, Oh My

These first two pictures were taken just two days apart. I can see a lot of growth in the luffas--tell me I'm not imagining things!
This is one of our roosters, a partridge rock cochin, name Mumbles. He's giving me the eye. See the feathers on his feet? The legs are supposed to fill out completely.
These girls are enjoying a hemlock near my office window.
That's a really big dipper gourd, eh? And there's part of one peeking out from under a huge leaf. And a tiny cantaloupe which I don't think we'll get to eat before the first frost. We just got our last one yesterday, I'm afraid. Beans are still growing, though.
